Chilean band Hombre Rojo will release its new EP, titled «Parnaso», on September 9, 2026, a five-song record they will present live that same week with a free-entry concert in Santiago. The project brings together musicians with a track record in the local scene and arrives after a string of advance singles. Here is what the record offers, who is in the group and how to attend the launch.

Five songs and an unusual instrumental setup

«Parnaso» gathers five tracks in which Hombre Rojo blends rock with Latin American roots, indie and alternative rock. What sets the group apart most is its instrumental lineup, uncommon within the genre: alongside guitars, electric bass and drums, it adds saxophones, keyboards and upright bass, opening room for wind arrangements and textures that move away from the classic rock-band format. The lineup features Gerardo Maluje on vocals and guitars —also part of EntreKlles—, Rodrigo De Petris on saxophones, keyboards and vocals —formerly of Akinetón Retard—, Pablo Torrejón on electric bass and upright bass, and Fernando León on drums.

The singles and Diego Bustamante’s production

Before the full EP arrives, the group had already released three tracks: «3 Más De 3», «Corazón de Hojalata» and «Acalanto». The fourth single, «Parnaso», comes out on September 4, while «Olvídate» is held back for the day of the official release. Production, recording and mastering were handled by Diego Bustamante, an engineer known for his work with Los Tres, whose presence at the console helped organize a layered sound and give the set of songs a sense of unity.

A live premiere with free admission

The show will take place at Sala SCD Egaña in Santiago at 8:30 p.m. Admission is free but requires prior registration through PuntoTicket, something worth sorting out early because capacity is limited. Guest musicians will join on stage and physical copies of the album will be on sale. For a band that operates in the independent circuit, a launch with no ticket price also works as a way to widen its audience and to close a long studio process together with its listeners. The date, moreover, falls right before Chile’s Independence celebrations, when the concert calendar in the capital fills up with local acts.
