Formed in 2019, Oleajes took their time before reaching the full-length format. Es Así is already available on digital platforms and works as a complete introduction: raw guitars, a marked groove and direct choruses. The quartet cites influences ranging from Los Tres and Los Prisioneros to Pixies and Red Hot Chili Peppers, a mix that explains the meeting point between local rock songwriting and the energy of American alternative rock.

Who they are and how it was recorded

The lineup features Alex Dannenberg on vocals and rhythm guitar, Sebastián Morales on lead guitar, Alejandro Petrulis on bass and Vicente Bretón on drums. The album was tracked at Estudio Pirámide, with production and mixing by Luciano Echeverría and mastering by Arturo Zegers. The cover art was handled by Valeria Pozo Farías. Ahead of the full release, the band had previewed two singles: «Ya no doy más», showing their heavier, guitar-driven side, and «Mujer Artificial», with a more funk-leaning feel.

Oleajes will celebrate the release of Es Así with a concert on Tuesday, September 23, 2026 at MiBar, in Providencia. The guest band will be Delirio, and tickets are on sale through PortalTickets.
